Our Responsibilities
At Worthinghead Primary School, safeguarding is paramount. Relationships between children, staff, and families are built on trust, openness, and clear communication. We are fully committed to the safety, emotional wellbeing, and protection of every child in our care.
Our school strictly follows the Department for Education’s statutory guidance, ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ which you can find here. This sets out our legal duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children under 18. Through robust safer recruitment practices, clear safeguarding procedures, and ongoing training for all staff and governors, we ensure our school environment is safe, happy, and secure.
We all have a duty to safeguard children. If you ever have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child at Worthinghead, please speak to one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads immediately.
