Pupil Premium
text
Pupil premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils. Schools must show how they’re using their pupil premium funding by publishing a statement on their website about how they use their funding and the impact it has on the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. You can find our latest report by following this link to our Policy and Report Documents page.
Pupil Premium is extra funding given to our school to help support your child's learning, fund school trips, and provide clubs. Your child may be eligible if your family receives certain benefits, such as Universal Credit (with a household income under £7,400 after tax), Income Support, Jobseeker's Allowance, or Child Tax Credit.
Children who are looked after, adopted from care, or have parents serving in the armed forces are also entitled to this support. Even if your child is in Reception, Year 1, or Year 2 and already gets free universal infant school meals, applying for Pupil Premium is still very important because it unlocks vital extra funding to help your child thrive at school. Checking if you qualify is quick, easy, and completely confidential-please contact our school office or apply online through the Bradford Council website:
